As part of the ongoing “Hadhramout Week in the Russian Federation,” Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, president of Hadhramout University, along with his accompanying delegation, visited the Chechen State University of Oil and Gas today.
The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Mohamed Mentsaev, the Chechen State University of Oil and Gas President. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mentsaev welcomed the HU President and his delegation and presented a brief overview of the prestigious Chechen university, which is celebrating its 105th anniversary this year. He highlighted the university’s faculties, institutes, and the wide range of academic programs it offers across various disciplines.
In turn, Prof. Mohamed Khanbash gave an introductory presentation on Hadhramout University, which was established in 1993. He outlined the university’s faculties, research centers, and the academic degrees it confers.
The meeting featured fruitful discussions on ways to enhance scientific, research, and cultural cooperation between the two universities, as well as the exchange of expertise in shared academic and research fields.
Following the meeting, Dr. Mentsaev led the visiting delegation on a tour of the university’s modern facilities. The tour included the advanced Artificial Intelligence Center, the Talented Students Center which supports student innovations, and the Skills Center, which focuses on advanced industries such as drone manufacturing and technical cooling. These centers aim to foster student creativity and develop their practical skills.
HU President and his delegation expressed their admiration for the modern technologies and advanced programs adopted by the Chechen State University of Oil and Gas. They praised the university’s significant progress in educational systems and applied training plans designed to equip students with diverse skills that meet labor market demands and enhance their competitiveness across various sectors.
This visit comes as part of Hadhramout University’s efforts to strengthen its international partnerships and expand academic and research collaboration with prestigious educational institutions worldwide, in a manner that serves the interests of students and scientific research in Hadhramout.
