The high-level Yemeni academic delegation concluded its official visit to China with a meeting at the China Scholarship Council (CSC), where they were received by the Council’s administration and several officials.

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Fadheel, Lahj University President, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Ahmadi, Cultural Advisor at the Yemeni Embassy in Beijing, delivered speeches expressing their appreciation for the Council’s role in supporting international education. They also presented the vision of Yemeni universities for enhancing academic cooperation with Chinese institutions.

The delegation discussed a proposal to collaborate with Yemeni universities on developing a simulation-based program for teaching Chinese using Arabic, aimed at facilitating innovative and practical language learning for Yemeni students. The possibility of establishing specialized Chinese language centers at Yemeni universities was also explored, to better prepare students and researchers interested in pursuing studies in China.

It was agreed that a follow-up meeting will be held next month with the Cultural Advisor to discuss the implementation details and transform these proposals into actionable programs.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation toured Renmin University in Beijing and visited the university’s museum, where they viewed key exhibits showcasing China’s rich history and civilization—an enriching cultural experience that fosters mutual understanding and academic exchange between the two nations.

The Yemeni academic delegation is scheduled to depart China this evening, heading to Aden after a successful visit that achieved its objectives and resulted in strategic partnerships and important agreements. These outcomes are expected to positively impact the development of higher education and scientific research in Yemen and strengthen academic cooperation with Chinese universities and institutions.
