Mr. Hassan Salem Al-Jailani, Deputy Governor of Hadhramout, Professor Dr. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Vice President of Hadhramout University for Academic Affairs, and Mr. Ahmed Muslim Salem Al-Qathami, representative of the philanthropist, inaugurated the reception of a large quantity of scientific books for Hadhramout University and other universities in the governorate. The initiative was generously funded by a philanthropist from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the patronage of Hadhramout Governor Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madi, and implemented by Hadhramout University.
The donation includes over 60,000 scientific books, covering more than 50,000 titles, which will be distributed among the following universities: Hadhramout University, Seiyun University, Arab University, University of Science and Technology, Al-Ahqaf University, and Al-Rayan University.
During the inauguration, Deputy Governor Al-Jailani conveyed the greetings of Governor Bin Madi, emphasizing the local authority’s commitment to supporting higher education and enhancing access to scientific knowledge in university colleges. He noted that this event marks a significant academic occasion, celebrating the arrival of valuable scientific books to Hadhramout as a generous initiative from a Saudi philanthropist. The distribution of these books to the beneficiary universities represents a meaningful academic contribution and a valuable resource for students and researchers across the governorate.

For his part, Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair expressed gratitude to the local authority for sponsoring this academic initiative. He conveyed the greetings of Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, President of Hadhramout University, and extended sincere thanks to the philanthropist for this generous donation. He affirmed that the books will enrich the libraries of Hadhramout University and other beneficiary institutions with new titles across various disciplines, thereby supporting university education in the governorate.

It is worth noting that the sorting committee for this book donation, chaired by Mr. Zaki Bahah and his team, undertook the task of allocating the appropriate share of books to each beneficiary university. The books were then handed over to the respective university representatives according to the designated quantities.
The inauguration was attended by representatives of the beneficiary universities and members of the sorting committee at Hadhramout University, which served as the implementing body.
