Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, Hadhramout University President, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Hanashi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, reviewed the progress of projects aimed at improving the educational environment. These initiatives include the rehabilitation of skills laboratories to enhance students’ competencies and capabilities, as well as the renovation of several lecture halls to accommodate the growing student population. The President also inspected the scientific library, various classrooms, and laboratories, expressing the university’s commitment to providing all necessary support to ensure the success of the academic and educational process within the Faculty.


In a separate event, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Hanashi, along with their accompanying delegation, inaugurated a series of awareness and cultural activities organized by the college administration in coordination with the Student Council and the Activities Department. These events featured a variety of programs, including a scientific awareness exhibition showcasing students’ talents, creativity, and skills, as well as breast cancer awareness activities in observance of Pink October, with contributions from several student volunteer teams. The President commended the Faculty of Nursing’s administration for its dedication to student activities that contribute to the development of students’ scientific competencies and skills.

Subsequently, the President, the Dean, and their delegation inaugurated the Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, which is expected to play a vital role in enhancing the capabilities of healthcare professionals and fostering sustainable development within the Faculty.
Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Hanashi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, stated that the President’s visit comes in the context of the Faculty’s efforts to improve the educational environment, including the rehabilitation of several facilities, the establishment of the Continuing Education Unit, and the development of skills laboratories and lecture halls. He noted that the visit also included a presentation of student awareness and cultural activities, such as the “Taryaf” initiative and Pink October awareness campaign, with the participation of the Sakhaa Volunteer Team. These efforts aim to encourage students and highlight their creative talents and skills to the broader community, as part of the Faculty’s strategic plan to enhance and improve its academic outcomes in the coming period.
The events were attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Muallim, Vice Dean; Dr. Haddad Al-Habshi, Head of the Community Health Department; Dr. Abdullah Kaity, Head of the Basic Medical Sciences Department; Mr. Fayadh Faraj Baamer, Secretary-General of the Faculty of Nursing; along with several faculty members, teaching assistants, and students from Hadhramout University’s Faculty of Nursing.
