Hadhramout University witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement on Tuesday morning between the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Hadhramout University and the Nahd Development Foundation. The agreement aims to support the launch of two Master’s programs in Mathematics and Private Law, marking an unprecedented milestone in the university’s academic history.

The agreement—signed in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, Hadhramout University President —seeks to provide qualified academic staff through the Foundation to address the shortage in these specialized programs. This initiative aims to ensure the quality of teaching and to graduate highly competent researchers and professionals capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and the wider community.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the university by Prof. Dr. Salem Faraj Bamsoud, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and on behalf of Nahd Development Foundation by Mr. Ibrahim Jumaan Bin Thabet, the Foundation’s General Manager.
According to the agreement, the Master’s program in Private Law is set to begin in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, while the Master’s program in Mathematics will commence in the second semester of the same year.
Both programs will extend over two academic years, in accordance with the university’s regulations.
This agreement reflects the shared vision of both institutions to serve the community, advance human development, and ease the challenges faced by students who wish to pursue graduate studies in specialized and rare fields. It also underscores their commitment to meeting students’ academic aspirations and supporting the university’s role in cultivating advanced scientific and research competencies.
