In the Presence of the University President, the Faculty of Medicine Discusses Program Update

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, Hadhramout University President, affirmed his confidence in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences completing a comprehensive self-study aimed at developing academic practices to meet labor market needs before mid-next year.

In a brief address delivered today at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences on the occasion of the workshop titled “Updating the Specifications of the General Medicine and Surgery Program”, he expressed his delight and thanked all participants for their cooperation in advancing the university.

He emphasized that the shared commitment to improving medical education is not the responsibility of a single institution; rather, it is a collaborative effort involving the faculty, the healthcare sector, civil society, and the Academic Development Center, ensuring the graduation of physicians equipped with competence, skills, and professional responsibility.

The Dean confirmed that the faculty is steadily progressing toward program development, improving the quality of its outputs, and strengthening partnerships with health and community institutions to fulfill its mission of serving humanity and the nation.

These components are designed according to a clear scientific methodology, reviewed against quality and accreditation standards, and inspired by the experiences of leading faculties regionally and internationally, while considering the specific needs of the local health context and community.

The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ayedhah Bahashwan, Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center Director; Prof. Dr. Ali Batarfi, Vice President of Arab University; and a number of specialists in the field.
