Hadhramout University participated with a high-level academic delegation in the scientific workshop held in the interim capital, Aden, from December 16 to 17, 2025, under the theme: “Quality of Postgraduate Studies in Yemeni Higher Education Institutions: Current Status and Development Mechanisms.”
The university was represented by Prof. Dr. Salem Faraj Bamsoud, Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Dr. Atef Saleh Al-Tamimi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and Quality; and Dr. Abdulrahman Salem Yaseen, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research.
In his scientific paper titled “Local and International Academic Partnerships and Their Role in Supporting Postgraduate Programs and Enhancing Research Capacities: A Case Study of Hadhramout University,” Dr. Bamsoud highlighted the university’s notable achievements in establishing strategic partnerships with local and international academic institutions, and how these collaborations have contributed to strengthening research infrastructure and improving the competencies of academic staff and researchers.
The university’s representatives also delivered valuable scientific contributions during the workshop organized by the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council, shedding light on Hadhramout University’s experience in developing postgraduate programs. They reaffirmed the university leadership’s commitment to implementing quality and accreditation standards to enhance the efficiency of educational outcomes and elevate the university’s standing in academic rankings.
This participation reflects Hadhramout University’s pioneering role in adopting comprehensive quality concepts and its dedication to sharing its successful institutional experience with other higher education institutions in Yemen. It also underscores the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the advancement of its research ecosystem.
