The President of Hadhramout University, Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, chaired a meeting of the committee responsible for publishing a memorial book in honor of the late Dr. Ahmed Omar Bamshmos and Abdulrahman Mohammed Bamtaraf. The meeting discussed the distribution of tasks among committee members and the mechanism for selecting the book’s contents, which will immortalize the memory of the two deceased.
Dr. Khanbash emphasized during the meeting that this book represents Hadhramout University’s tribute to Bamshmos and Bamtaraf, who dedicated many years to serving the university and graduated numerous generations throughout their educational and academic journey at the governorate level.
The meeting also reviewed proposals for the committee’s work plan, which will oversee the publication of the book. The book will include the biographies of Bamshmos and Bamtaraf, highlighting their many academic achievements and successes, as well as shedding light on the most significant milestones in their educational and scientific careers, with the aim of presenting a model for future generations.
The committee decided to assign Dr. Abdullah Saleh Babair for the linguistic review of the book, Dr. Adeeb Al-Shatari to assist the committee in documentation and media publication across various platforms and social media, and Hussein Basleab as the committee’s secretary to oversee the book’s printing.
This meeting comes as part of a series of efforts by Hadhramout University to honor its academic figures, where materials and information will be collected to prepare the book in a manner that reflects the status of the two deceased and their prominent contributions to serving the university and the academic community over many years.
