The University Council of Hadhramout University, chaired by the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khanbash, has issued Resolution No. (21) for the year 2026, approving the naming of two major halls at the university in honor of two of its late distinguished academics.
According to the resolution, the main hall at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences has been named after the late Prof. Dr. Ahmed Omar Bamashmos, while the main hall at the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum has been named after the late Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Bamatarf.
This initiative comes in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the university and society, in commemoration of their enduring academic legacy, and in appreciation of the significant efforts they devoted to serving students and advancing higher education.
The resolution shall take effect as of its date of issuance, and the relevant university departments have been instructed to adopt and implement it accordingly.
