The preliminary rounds of the tenth edition of the Hadhramout University Creative Student Awards commenced on Monday morning at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences Hall.

The competitions opened with two categories in the religious field: Qur’an memorization, offered at three levels (the complete Qur’an, twenty juz’, and fifteen juz’), and Hadith memorization, also held in three categories (100 Hadiths, 75 Hadiths, and 50 Hadiths).

The competitions were supervised by specialized judging committees composed of university academics and were conducted in a highly competitive atmosphere, reflecting the growing interest of students in religious, academic, and intellectual fields.

These awards are regarded as one of the university’s most prominent initiatives aimed at discovering and nurturing student talents, promoting creativity, supporting academic and intellectual development, and reinforcing positive values within the student community.

The preliminary rounds are scheduled to continue on Tuesday, with competitions in public speaking and nasheed performance.

The opening activities were attended by Dr. Abdulbasit Al-Gharabi, Chair of the Awards Committee; Dr. Munir Al-Jaidi, Vice Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences for Student Affairs; and committee members Saeed Al-Jureiri and Muath Bakathir.
