Under the patronage of the President of Hadhramout University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, the Hadhramout Health Organization, in partnership with the Nursing Faculty, organized today a strategic workshop entitled “Identifying the Developmental Needs of the Nursing Faculty.”
The workshop aimed to engage all relevant stakeholders in developing a clear roadmap to enhance the faculties’ educational and professional outcomes, thereby ensuring the preparation of highly qualified nursing professionals capable of meeting the needs of the healthcare sector.
In his opening address at the workshop—held at the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center Hall at the University Presidency—Prof. Dr. Khanbash affirmed the strength and depth of the university’s partnership with the Hadhramout Health Organization, noting that the workshop represents the first tangible outcome of the cooperation agreement signed between the two parties the previous day.
Prof. Dr. Khanbash reviewed the developmental journey of the Nursing faculty since its establishment in 2005, highlighting the qualitative progress it has achieved over the years. He stated:
“The faculty is moving forward with confidence. Following the development of its academic programs with the support of the Al-Awn Foundation for Development and the expansion of its postgraduate offerings, we stand today—after fifteen graduating cohorts—at a new developmental milestone aimed at reassessing our needs and ensuring the sustainability and excellence of our educational outcomes.”
He concluded by expressing his appreciation to the Hadhramout Health Organization and all stakeholders supporting this developmental direction, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to bring about a qualitative transformation in the nursing sector across the governorate.
The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Eidha Bashhwan, Director of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center; Dr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Hinshi, Dean of the College of Nursing; Mr. Waleed Awadh Bakhreesa, Executive Director of the Hadhramout Health Organization; along with a number of healthcare professionals and interested participants.
