He stated: “Investment in technology is not a luxury; it is a backbone for ensuring the quality of our educational outcomes and for creating a competitive environment aligned with the highest global standards.”
He added that the project represents a foundational step in the Faculties’ journey toward obtaining international academic accreditations and accelerates the pace of academic development to keep pace with the rapidly evolving fields of medical and health sciences.

Dr. Khanbash further clarified that the University, through such projects, seeks to bridge the digital gap and empower students and researchers in all regions, noting: “We are working to generalize these developmental models, with particular emphasis on providing high‑speed communication infrastructure, which has become an absolute necessity—equivalent to water and air—in modern education.”

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Saleh Awad Bahawil, Dean of the Faculty, along with his deputies and faculty members. The Dean emphasized the strategic significance of the project, stating: “The computer laboratory and electronic library are no longer optional additions; they have become essential components for delivering high‑quality medical education.”

He noted that both facilities represent a cornerstone of the Faculties’  quality‑assurance, institutional accreditation, and program accreditation plans, reflecting the College’s firm commitment to aligning its outputs with national and international standards.

The Dean highlighted that the project aims to prepare medically competent graduates—academically and technologically—by providing an interactive learning environment based on modern electronic platforms, strengthening students’ and researchers’ skills in scientific research, and enabling them to meet the challenges of contemporary health‑care systems, which rely heavily on technology and digital data.

He pointed out that the project included the supply and installation of 85 modern computers, distributed across the laboratories of both  Faculty buildings in the Fuwah and Fluk areas.

To ensure operational efficiency and reliability, the new digital system has been connected to Starlink high‑speed satellite Internet, ensuring a stable and powerful connection that supports distance learning, access to international databases and scientific libraries, and uninterrupted research activities.

This initiative represents a qualitative leap in the Faculties’  educational environment and contributes to transforming classrooms into dynamic spaces that meet the demands of the digital era, strengthening the University’s regional competitiveness in medical education.
