Visit of Women’s Faculty Students to the Juvenile Social Guidance Center

The Department of Social Work at the Women’s Faculty, Hadhramout University, organized a field visit to the Juvenile Social Guidance Center in Al Mukalla, with the participation of third-level students. This visit was conducted as part of the department’s strategic plan to enhance practical training and strengthen the linkage between academic learning and community needs.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the professional role of social workers within care institutions, and to familiarize them with behavioral modification approaches as well as the rehabilitative and corrective programs provided to the center’s residents. The objective was to professionally prepare students to address social issues with competence and awareness.
Dr. Lamia Mabrouk Bin Sannah, Head of the Department, expressed her appreciation to the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Najat Ahmed Bosab’a, the Vice Dean, Dr. Fatima Abdullah Bahadila, and the Faculty Secretary-General, Mr. Sabri Abdullah Al-Tamimi, for their continuous support of field-based learning activities.
She also extended her gratitude to the center’s administration, represented by its Director, Mr. Adnan Aboud Bin Thabit, and all staff members for their warm reception and cooperation.
In addition, the Head of the Department thanked the center’s social worker, Ms. Mona Baghata, for presenting an inspiring professional model and sharing her practical experience with the students. She also commended the efforts of the supervising faculty members, Dr. Moataz Abdel Moatamed and Instructor Noura Bin Mokhashen.
Dr. Bin Sannah affirmed the department’s commitment to continuing such field partnerships to strengthen the pioneering role of social work in building a cohesive and resilient community.
