Hadhramout University will witness the launch of the Eleventh Scientific Conference for its students on Monday and Tuesday, the 9th and 10th of this month. The event, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, will bring together a wide audience of students, researchers, and academics, signaling two days filled with rigorous scientific presentations and discussions.

Prof. Dr. Khaled Awad Al‑Rubaki, Chair of the Scientific Conference Committee, explained that the train of student creativity continues to move steadily forward, reaching its eleventh station this year with 36 distinguished research papers and scientific projects submitted from most of the University’s colleges. These works will be discussed over the course of the conference within specialized scientific sessions organized according to the approved program.

Prof. Al‑Rubaki emphasized that the conference’s key objectives extend far beyond being a routine event. Rather, it aspires to rise to the level of serious scientific work that contributes to comprehensive development, in alignment with this year’s theme: “University Students in the Service of Development.” He noted that the conference aims to elevate the academic standard of graduation projects, highlight the pivotal role of scientific research in all aspects of life, and mobilize it in the service of society. Additionally, it seeks to encourage students to showcase their creative abilities and motivate them to participate in various scientific forums.

He pointed out that such academic ambitions cannot achieve their intended impact without creating genuine opportunities for student empowerment. This is precisely what the conference accomplishes by serving as a distinctive platform that enables creative student minds to present their best projects and benefit from constructive feedback to further refine them—ultimately contributing to various fields of life.

He added: “This conference represents the culmination of students’ academic efforts and stands as one of the most significant mechanisms reflecting Hadhramout University’s commitment to building a generation of researchers and innovators capable of leading future development.”

Prof. Al‑Rubaki extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, and to the Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salem Mubarak Al‑Obathani, for their unwavering support. He also thanked the deans of the Faculties, their deputies, and heads of academic departments for their cooperation, expressing his appreciation to the judging committees, the conference committee, and all staff members who contributed to bringing this event to fruition.
