The activities of the Eleventh Scientific Conference for University Students, held under the theme “University Students in the Service of Development,” concluded at the Ali Ahmed Ba Kathir Hall at the University Presidency as part of the Fifteenth University Student Week for the year 2026. The conference ran for three days under the generous patronage of the President of Hadhramout University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash.
Prof.Dr. Khaled Awad Al‑Rubaki, Chairman of the Scientific Conference Committee for University Students, stated that this eleventh edition of the conference achieved significant success and strong engagement, featuring 36 scientific research papers submitted by students from all faculties. He noted that this conference distinguishes Hadhramout University from other Yemeni universities, as it showcases student research and graduation projects that contribute to community service and development. He expressed his gratitude to the university leadership for their continued support in sustaining this annual scientific student conference, and extended his thanks to the evaluation committees, the conference committee members, and all who contributed to the success of this academic event.
The conference addressed several key themes across the fields of natural and applied sciences, as well as humanities and social sciences, through graduate research submitted by students of Hadhramout University.
At the conclusion of the event, the Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof.Dr. Salem Mubarak Al‑Obathani, together with Prof. Dr. Khaled Awad Al‑Rubaki and a number of faculty members, honored the participating male and female students and presented them with certificates of recognition.
The closing ceremony was attended by faculty deans and their deputies, heads of academic departments, several faculty members, and a large number of university students.
