Today, His Excellency Mr. Fahd Kveen, Minister of Fisheries, together with Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khenbesh, HU President checked the Marine Biology and Marine Pollution Laboratories, at Environmental Sciences & Marine Biology college/HU.
the meeting discussed the establishment of a new department (Marine Sciences)and The possibility of cooperation between the College and the General Authority for Fisheries in the Arab Sea was also discussed in training programmes for masters of traditional fishing boats on basic navigation skills.
The minster of Fisheries stressed the importance of partnership and complementarity between the Ministry and the Hadhramaut University, represented by the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology College , in marine research and marine pollution monitoring, noting its strengthening and development.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Yeslam Babalgom, director of the General Authority for Fisheries in the Arabian Sea, Mr. Sabri Lajrb, the Director General of the General Authority for Research and Oceanography Branch, Abdul Hamid Ibrahim, Director of Fisheries Minister Office , and Fahmy Issa Khaled, Minister Advisor .
