Dr. Khalid Awadh Al-Rabaki; Dean of the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Faculty, met in his office with Eng. Yeslam Babalgoum; General Director of the General Fisheries Authority Arab Sea (Hadhramout – Shabwa – Al-Mahra). He also met with Eng. Naeem Abdul-Qader Al-Amoudi; General Director of the Maritime Affairs Authority (Hadhramout – Shabwa – Al-Mahra- Socotra).
During the two visits, prospects of joint cooperation between the faculty and the two authorities were discussed, in order to achieve the available opportunities and possible ways of cooperation. In addition to providing training opportunities for students and researchers in their fields of specialization, as well as solving problems and issues related to the environment and marine resources by supporting and encouraging students with all the possibilities available in the two authorities.
Eng. Yeslam Babalgoum and Eng. Naeem Al-Amoudi visited the participants in the courses held at the faculty which are fish farming course and a feed manufacturing course within the program ”My career is in my hands-6. It was funded by Silah Foundation for Development and supervised by Rawabi Al-Khair Developmental Foundation. They also visited the faculty’s research fish farm, and each of them delivered motivational speeches to the participants, urging them to continue this important work and open their own projects to contribute to community service.
The meetings and visits were attended by Dr. Ahmed Eida bin Ali Al-Hajj; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jaafar Ba-Amer; Head of Marine Biology Department, Counselor Saleh Al-Haddad from the Fisheries Authority, and Mr. Waheeb bin Beak from the Maritime Affairs Authority. In addition to Prof. Jumaan Saeed bin Nasser; Director of Projects Department at Rawabi Al-Khair Developmental Foundation and Prof. Omar Ba-materf; researcher in the affairs of the Arabian Sea, fish and marine biology.
