The Dean of the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology faculty at Hadhramout University received in November 22, 2022, the delegation from Al-Maaref Schools in Mukalla, headed by Ms. Amjad Saleh Qannab; Principle of the School. During the visit to the faculty, they were briefed on a complete idea of the faculty, its specializations and the most important environmental problems that the faculty contributes to Solving them, such as studying climate change, natural resources, energy, pollution, vegetation, preserving marine wealth, solving nutrition problems, and paying attention to its quality, through studies and scientific research carried out by students, researchers and the staff members at the faculty.
The delegation also indicated that this visit aims to create partnership and cooperation between Al-Maaref Schools and the faculty of Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology, within the framework of introductory courses for female students in the faculty’s departments, and its attention to the practical aspect in various fields. The ecology is also interested in discovering ways to live more sustainably. This means using current resources in a way that preserves their supply for the future. It also calls for raising awareness of resource consumption and reducing unnecessary waste.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Eidha bin Ali Al Haj; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the faculty, Dr. Jaafar Omar Ba Omar; Head of the Marine Biology Department, Bassam Badros; Director of the Dean’s Office. In addition to Ms. Najwa Amin Al-Swees; Assistant Principal at school, and Ms. Arwa Mubarak Basaad; responsible for the Relations Department and supervisor of the Kindergarten department, and Ms. Fatima Nasser Morjan, head of the Women and Children Department.
