Students’ founding meeting was held at the College of Computers and Information Technology (CIT) at the Future Complex of Colleges at HU to form the Student Association of CIT, in which various students of different levels participated.

 

The Student Association aims at providing the students with services in the fields of programming, development and maintenance of networks, media and design, training and qualification, holding cultural and social activities and environmental university services. It also links public relations, and community service.

 

Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Bamatraf, Dean of the College, said that this association was formed to develop the students’ skills, enhance the spirit of cooperation and team work among them by giving our students opportunities to  participate in university work, supervise the work of maintenance and networks within the College labs, disseminate the culture of computing and how to protect privacy in the use of technology and social networking management . Besides, manage and link the students to community.

 

He also pointed out that the elections took place in a competitive way during which the students showed the regulations of the work teams of the association. A new administrative board of 10 students was elected in the fields of CIT under the supervision of specialized committees by academic faculty staff and their assistants, headed by Dr. Saeed Mohamed Banaimoon, Dean’s Deputy for Students’ Affairs, and Dr. Hesham Awad Bahamish, Dean’s Deputy for Academic Affairs
