On Thursday, 11 November, the 9th edition International Scientific Forum began in Trabzon- Turkey. At the opening ceremony of the Forum, Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash; HU President- Republic of Yemen, delivered a speech on behalf of the heads of the participating universities in the presence of a number of university presidents, scientists, experts and researchers, in which he referred to the distinguished successes of the ARID platform in organizing a number of scientific events and conferences, which he participated in. It contained more than seventy thousand scholars and experts in universities and international scientific institutions of various specializations. He pointed out that this forum came from Hadramout, the city of civilization and history, carrying a message with the glory of a civilization which is in the depths of history, lofty and cherished by the pride of its people. They were the first to spread science and knowledge and the message of peace and love in many world countries.

Peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you
After the great successes achieved by the ARID platform in organizing eight international scientific forums, three of which were electronic copies in exceptional circumstances, as well as the great success achieved by the platform last month in organizing the Information Measurements Week. Today it holds its 9th international scientific forum in its combined copy (in person and electronically). On this occasion, I am pleased, on behalf of all members of Hadramout University, to congratulate you on the convening of the 9th international scientific forum, organized by the ARID platform for scientists, experts and researchers in the Turkish city of Trabzon, with an accompanying electronic copy during the period from 11-15 November 2021.
ARID platform has achieved a number of scientific successes at the international level within a short period. Seventy thousand scientists and researchers, who are members of the platform, have the right to be proud of these successes, and Hadhramout University, as partners, has the right also to be proud of what the platform has achieved. We share our fellow platform members their joy in achieving these successes.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Hadhramout university is linked to the platform by an active partnership, through its active participation in all events and activities organized by the platform, sponsoring or participating in its affiliates. In addition, as I am a member of the platform, and as HU president and a guest of honor for the three international scientific forums that the platform organized for success, I want to introduce you to the achievements that ARID platform had achieved in organizing these forums.
I can summarize this in nine successes achieved by the platform, by organizing nine international scientific forums, including this one, as follows:
First: Consolidating the position of the ARID platform among the international scientific community.
Second: Emphasis on the integrity of the platform’s approach, and its success in moving steadily towards achieving its mission.
Third: Highlighting the importance of the platform’s role in revitalizing scientific research, as these forums, especially electronic ones, have established a new mechanism that has expanded the interaction for academic and research institutions, and encouraged the participation of many academics and researchers in these institutions. Hence the importance of the role of the ARID platform in activating scientific research.
Fourth: Achieving the principle of sustainability in the platform's activities.
Fifth: Creating effective partnerships with a number of universities and scientific research institutions, and we are proud at Hadhramaut University of our distinguished partnership with the platform.
Sixth: Dissemination of cognitive sciences and research results on a large scale.
Seventh: Expanding the platform's membership, as it reached more than seventy thousand scholars and researchers.
Eighth: Establishing scientific relations between scientists and researchers to increase and consolidate knowledge production, through exchange of research ideas, coordination of efforts between research institutions, and optimal use of available capabilities.
Ninth: Achieving leadership in organizing the largest international scientific forums for Arabic speakers.
These successes have been achieved by the grace of God, then by the tremendous efforts of the leadership of the platform, led by Prof. Saif al-Swaidi, and behind them a number of many unknown members of the platform. Therefore, I find this as an opportunity to express my thanks, appreciation and gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this forum, and the rest of the platform's activities. I would like to extend my special thanks to Prof. Seif Al-Swaidi; Executive Director of the ARID platform. I also thank everyone for listening.
