The Professional Diploma in Media (PDM) at the College of Open Education resumed study and lectures which are presented by a number of Professors from Hadhramout University (HU) and University of Aden. Prof. Abdullah Saleh Bababeer, Professor of Grammar and HU Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented lectures on Arabic language for the media professionals enrolled in the program. In the same context, he completed the same lectures scheduled last week in the city of Seiyun for media professionals enrolled in PDM there. Also, Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, professor of media at the University of Aden, presented lectures on media technology. The participants received over 100 hrs. of lectures in Arabic language and media techniques and they will sit next week for an exam in both subjects.
Dr. Mohammed Salem bin Joma’an, Dean of the College of Open Education said that this diploma is the first fruits of our professional programs which will contribute significantly to the enhancement of media professionals’ linguistic and technical skills. “ We appreciate and thank Al Awn Foundation for Development for its generous funding of this program, and sensing the social responsibility towards raising the abilities of media professionals in Hadhramout province,” he added.
