Prof. Dr. Muhammad SaeedKhanbash, President of the University of Hadramout, described the inauguration of the International Society of Engineers (SPE) Center in the College of Engineering and Petroleum at the University of Hadhramout as a new point of light emanating from a new field added to four global fields that the University of Hadramout has been honored with its membership, which enhances its position not only at the local and Arab levels, but at the global level. He said in his speech at the ceremony held today, Thursday, the tenth of December 2020, at the International Conference Hall of the College of Engineering and Petroleum: We have the right to be proud of this achievement, and our students have the right to be in leadership, adding that the university presidency will spare no effort in providing support to university students In all fields of science and knowledge. For his part, Dr. Salem Abed Ba'arima, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department, said: After nine years of hard work, continuous communication and painstaking research, despair has not crept into our souls, but rather we kept knocking on the gates of knowledge and science, until we attained our goal and achieved our goal, and good tidings came on the fifteenth day. From June 2020, the day we were informed of the approval of our membership in the International Society of Engineering and Petroleum (SPE). This was a great achievement, in which the leadership of the university, the college and the department alike participated. Thanks to everyone. From his part, Prof. Dr. Abbas Muhammad Al-Khadhfi, the supervisor of this chapter, said: The benefits of membership in this chapter are reflected in that it will be a global portal that opens up opportunities for university students to participate and access the services provided by the International Society of Engineers in the field of scientific research, communication and employment, adding: We have reached this remarkable achievement, and we should now do our best to maintain this global position. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the Local Council in Al-Mahra Governorate, Professor Salem Nimer and his companions, Prof. Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Awbathani, Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Saeed bin Ajaj, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Acting Dean of the College, Vice Deans, and a number of faculty members and the assistant faculty In the college, Professor Ahmed ZainBahamid, Director General of the General Department of Media at the University, and a number of managers and stakeholders, and students of the College of Engineering and Petroleum. The students provided a full explanation of the advantages of the association for petroleum engineering students. Today new horizons towards a bright future and a blessed march that includes qualification programs and training courses are being formed to move the academic process to wider horizons.
