Youth Affairs Launches the Political Salon at Hadhramout University

Sponsored by Prof. Mohammad Khabbesh, (HU)President , inaugurated  Political Salon for University Students, organized by the University Students' Political Forum, in the presence of Mr. Fahmy Badhawi, Under-Secretary for Youth Affairs of Hadhramout governorate, Prof. Salem Bin Salman,HU Assistant Vice-President for Student Affairs, Captain Hassan Masjid, Director-General of the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hadhramout Coast, Dr. Abdullah Ben Osman, Executive Director of the Aid for Development Foundation, and Major Ali Alian, Director of Counseling, Hadhramaut Coast Security Department.

The first event was organized by a discussion session entitled Youth and the Future Industry, which discussed several topics, including:

  • the role of young people in change and their ambition to reach decision-making positions.
  • youth and our current phase, sport and the arts and their impact on youth protection, the role of youth in the fight against corruption.

In the opening session, Agent Fahmy Badawi made an intervention in which he stressed the importance of the role of youth in decision-making and that it is their responsibility at this stage to carry the banner of change and contribute to construction, development and creation of peace opportunities, Youth in development and construction. He praised the efforts of Hadhramaut University in supporting the political forum, which we count on to make a qualitative leap in educating young people in the political field, which we desperately need in Hadhramout.

Participants in the workshop discussed the working papers presented by Captain Hassan Masjid, Engineer Mohamed Bahil and Engineer Salim Anis Abdel-Aziz.

At the conclusion of the workshop, which came out with a set of decisions and recommendations. Prof. Salem bin Salman, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs,  confirmed that the activities of the Political Salon would continue on the basis of a plan and a programme that would include a number of events, workshops and panel discussions.
