Hadhramout University organized the annual graduation ceremony in the hall of Ali Hood Baabad, at the University Presidency, to honor the top students and the graduates who obtained honors for the academic year 2021-2022, the twenty-fourth batch in the university’s faculties. It was held under the generous patronage of the chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi.
At the ceremony, which began with verses from the Holy Quran, the Governor of Hadhramout, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, to the graduate students of the academic year 2021-2022. On this occasion, Hadhramout University celebrates its thirtieth anniversary, emphasizing the support of the local authority to the university, which contributes to the consolidation of the pillars and foundations of university education. As it is one of the achievements of Hadhramout Governorate, expressing his happiness at this batch of graduates from this educational edifice, whose number more than three thousand male and female students. In addition he pointed out that Hadhramout University plays an important role in qualifying the scientific leaders, and this honor is a motivation for students to continue the course of university education.
Furthermore, he stressed that the local authority in the governorate pays great attention to education, calling on the university to update the scientific and academic programs, encourage students to the scientific research, and develop their abilities and skills. He thanked the University Presidency and all its affiliates for their efforts in serving students.
From his part, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University, indicated that this ceremony coincides with the university’s celebrations of the thirtieth anniversary of its establishment, in which the top students and those who hold honors degrees from bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in all university faculties are honored, and thus the university has
provided the labor market with more than forty thousand male and female graduates, offering them congratulations for receiving this honor, which is the result of their efforts. He confirmed that the university seeks to improve the quality of education, raised the classification of Hadhramout University locally and internationally, as well as organizing the various student activities. He mentioned that the university has scientific cooperation relations with Arab and international universities, as thirty programs have been developed in postgraduate studies.
He added that the university is in the process of organizing four scientific weeks, and launching its third strategic plan, as part of its celebrations of the thirtieth anniversary of its establishment. He thanked His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad
Al-Alimi for sponsoring the ceremony, as well as the Governor of Hadhramout, Mr. Mabkhout bin Madi, the Student Affairs Deputyship, and everyone who contributed to the success of this ceremony.
The graduate Ahmed Abdullah, delivered a speech on behalf of his fellow graduates, expressed their happiness at reaching this achievement after effort and diligence during the university study years, thanking the university presidency, the deanships of the faculties, staff members and their assistants for their efforts in providing all the necessary facilities for them during their study years. The ceremony included a singing performance by university students, which won the admiration and approval of the attendees.
In conclusion, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi; Governor of Hadhramout, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University , Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obthani; Vice President for Students Affairs, and Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research honored the top male and female students and those with honors, and handing them certificates of scientific excellence.
The ceremony was attended by: deans of faculties and their deputies, heads of scientific departments, a number of staff members and their assistants, and employees, as well as presidents of private universities, their deputies, representatives of civil society organizations, and the families and relatives of graduate students.
