Prof. Khalid Ahmed Al-Wasabi; Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training visited Hadhramout University. He met with the University Leadership headed by Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash.
During the meeting, HU President welcomed the Minister of Higher Education and the delegation accompanied him. He expressed his appreciation for this visit which is the first visit to the university especially it coincided with the 30th University Anniversary. Furthermore, he expressed his thanks to the Higher Education Ministry for their efforts in facilitating the difficulties for the university. In addition to expressing the university’s readiness to implement the Ministerial directions which will contribute to improving the educational and academic process of the university’s faculties in the upcoming period.
From his part, the minister of Higher Education expressed his happiness on this visit and pointed out that he is proud of these activities, events, and scientific conferences which were held by the university. He added that this is evidence of implementing the university plan. He praised the developments in the faculties of the university especially in Open Education Faculty, confirming the Ministry’s Support to the university through providing the necessary facilities for the success of the educational process. Furthermore, he praised the efforts made by the university leadership in this Exceptional case, wishing them success.
After that, the minister of Higher Education along with the President of Hadhramout University visited the Central Hall of Student Affairs, Hood Ba-Abbad Hall for Events, University Council Meeting Room, HU Student Training Center, and Open Education Faculty at Future Colleges Complex. In addition to the examination hall and Admission and Registration Department to check on the progress of the educational process at Open Education Faculty.
They were accompanied by Prof. Khalid Omer Baslaim; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Hussein Basalama; former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ramzi Saeed; Director of the Minister’s Office. In addition to Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani; Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Mr. Abdullah Alawi Aideed, General Secretary of the University, and Dr. Walid Al-Attas, Dean of the Open Education Faculty, Dr. Muhammad Bamatraf; Dean of Computers and IT Faculty, Dr. Faiza Al-Obaidi; Dean of Law Faculty, Mr. Hussein Baslaib; General Director of the University President Office, Mr. Ahmed Zain Bahmaid; General Director of Media Department, Aboud Al-Abel, President of the Arab University.
