Hadhramout University Launches Admission Placement Exams for the 2025–2026 Academic Year at the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum and Other Faculty

Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani, Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, along with the Vice Deans of the Engineering and Petroleum Faculty, inaugurated the admission placement exams for the 2025–2026 academic year at the Faculty of Engineering, located in the Fuwa campus complex..

During the inauguration, the Vice President and his accompanying delegation toured the examination halls to observe the progress of the exams. They encouraged the applicants to exert greater effort and diligence to compete for academic seats and to focus carefully on answering the exam questions.

Dr. Al-Obathani praised the efforts of the Dean’s Office at the Engineering and Petroleum Faculty, as well as the deanships of other Faculties, for their organization and coordination of the examination halls. He also commended the examination committees for their adherence to the electronic system in preparing the questions and grading the model answers, which contributes significantly to the success of the examination process.

He noted that more than 4,110 male and female applicants had registered for the exams, competing for admission into the scientific disciplines offered by the university’s various Faculties, where competition for seats is high. He affirmed that the Office of Student Affairs stands in full support of the colleges, working to overcome any challenges and provide all necessary facilities to enhance and develop the educational and academic process at the university. He also wished the applicants success in their academic journey.

It is worth noting that the placement exams for admission to the university’s other Faculties will continue as scheduled according to each college’s specific timetable in the coming days. Additionally, the coordination and admission procedures have been extended for the Faculties of Women, Science, Education, and Arts and Humanities.

The inauguration was attended by Mr. Abdullah bin Thalib, Director General of Admissions and Registration at the Office of Student Affairs.
