We pray that Allah grants him success in fulfilling this great responsibility during these challenging times. We also express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madhi, former Governor of Hadhramout, for his dedicated efforts in serving the governorate and his continuous support for Hadhramout University and its various activities.

Honorable Ceremony:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to this joyous occasion organized by Hadhramout University to celebrate the graduation of the 27th cohort of Bachelor’s degree holders, the 22nd cohort of Master’s degree holders, and the 6th cohort of Doctoral graduates.

Today, we celebrate the graduates of the academic year 2024–2025, totaling 2,312 graduates, including 2,124 Bachelor’s degree holders and 191 graduates with Master’s and Doctoral degrees.

We take pride in our female graduates, numbering 153 graduates from the College of Education branch in Mukalla, Doan. We also commend the success of the Girls’ Education Program in Rural Areas, funded by the Silah Foundation and Al-Awn Foundation for Development, which covered the districts of Doan, Amd, Huraidah, Hura and Wadi Al-Ain. We hope this program will continue and expand to include other rural districts, with additional institutions contributing to its funding.

Since its establishment, Hadhramout University has supplied the labor market with 48,323 graduates holding Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees.

On this joyous occasion, I extend heartfelt congratulations to all graduates and especially to the top achievers and honor students for their distinction. I pray for your continued success in your future endeavors.

Dear Students:
You have every right to take pride in your university, for it is an institution with a broad vision and limitless ambition, striving to become a global university in the future. Last year, the university entered the QS World University Rankings and maintained its position for two consecutive years—an achievement reflecting the quality of its academic and research performance and affirming its ability to compete globally.

This historic achievement places upon us—university leadership, college deans, faculty members, staff, and students—a great responsibility: to preserve this accomplishment and advance steadily in global rankings.

On this occasion, we express our sincere gratitude to all university affiliates—faculty members, assistants, staff, and students—for their efforts in elevating the university to this distinguished level.

Further evidence of the university’s broad vision and boundless aspirations was witnessed last month through diverse scientific events, including a creative milestone—the first-ever Hackathon in the university’s history—coinciding with the inauguration of the Student Entrepreneurship Center and the launch of the Fourth International Scientific Research Week. These initiatives affirm the university’s commitment to placing scientific research at the core of its academic mission and developmental path, believing that knowledge, research, and innovation are the true foundations of comprehensive progress.

The university is dedicated to fostering an environment for applied research, scientific exchange, and strengthening cooperation with higher education institutions locally and internationally. Later this month, the university will host an Academic Development Week, underscoring that development is not a luxury or an option but a strategic necessity and a commitment to our students and society, compelling us to remain at the forefront of academic innovation.

Dear Graduates:
Your graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter! The world awaits you—a world that is ever-changing and fast-paced! Your duty today goes beyond practicing your profession. Allow me to offer you some advice:

  1. Never stop reading, learning, and developing your skills—knowledge is an endless journey.
  2. Be ambassadors of your university through your ethics, dedication, and sincerity.
  3. Use the knowledge you have acquired to serve your community and contribute to the advancement of your nation.
  4. Do not fear failure; take it as a lesson to correct your path and face challenges with resilience. Do not let discouraging realities break you—rise from the rubble of despair with unwavering hope and determination.

In conclusion, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to:

Families and parents: who were the pillars of support and now reap the fruits of their patience and sacrifices with tears of joy.

Faculty members and assistants: the beating hearts of generosity who spared no effort or knowledge—our deepest appreciation for your noble mission.

All university staff: for their tremendous efforts in creating an ideal educational environment.

Before I conclude, I must express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madhi, former Governor of Hadhramout and Chairman of the Local Council, for his gracious sponsorship of this ceremony and his valued support for the university and its activities. I also extend thanks to all who have contributed and continue to contribute to the development of Hadhramout University, particularly Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Baghshan, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and other supporting institutions, especially Silah Foundation for Development and Bin Dol Islamic Bank for Microfinance.

I proudly acknowledge the strategic and exemplary partnership between Hadhramout University and the local authority in Hadhramout Governorate.

Special thanks go to the Vice Presidencies for Student Affairs and Graduate Studies, college deanships, and the unsung heroes—the staff and organizing committees in the Vice Presidency for Student Affairs, the General Investment Administration, and the General Administration of Facilities—for their efforts in preparing, organizing, and ensuring the success of this ceremony.

Finally, my sincere gratitude to you, dear attendees, for gracing our celebration with your presence, adding beauty upon beauty and light upon light.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
