Prof. Khalid Omer Basleim; Undersecretary of the Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training Ministry expressed his happiness on visiting Hadhramout University in 7/2/2022. At the beginning of his speech, he described HU as a distinct destination in higher education in the country. In addition to its advancement in the international forums through its scientific presence and active participation in scientific research and papers, as well as hosting a number of international scientific conferences and symposiums.
On his part, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash ; HU president confirmed that HU witnessed great achievements in an integrated scientific process of great services. It was ranked fourth in the Republic of Yemen for the year 2022 and has advanced by the Webometrics ranking of universities by nearly 1,000 points globally. In addition, Over the past year, 2021 it has implemented a large number of projects in various sectors of the University such as, Establishment of the University Presidency gate, the University E- Portal, rehabilitation of Professor Ali Hood Ba-Abbad Hall for International Exhibitions and Conferences, establishment of the Student Centers and Clubs Building, implementation of a student training program in the Student Training Centre. Furthermore, the rehabilitation of the 1st floor of the Education Faculty –Mukalla and the establishment of Education Faculty center for female education in Doa’n. It provides university education for the females who have been deprived of it for many years. In the same context, doctoral and master’s programs opened, as well as the completion of more than 200 scientific theses at various specializations and levels. In addition to the rehabilitation of the HU Medical center-Third Phase- where emergency and radiology departments and a number of specialized outpatient clinics will be opened, increasing its services. Besides the 6th conference of university student, Competitions, University Awards, First Scientific Research Week, and the workshops of the University’s Second Strategy, which is an ambitious plan for 2022-2030.
In conclusion, Hadhramout University always seeks to achieve the goals which contribute in promoting the university to another aspect of creativity and excellence.
