Prof. Atef Saleh Al-Tamimi, Dean of the Faculty of Open Education at Hadhramout University, met with Dr. Duwail Ahmed Al-Qurzi, Director General of Ghayl Bin Yamin District, to discuss the reopening of the Faculty’s center in the district and its designation as an examination center to serve students from Ghayl Bin Yamin and neighboring areas.

The discussion took place during a meeting at the Faculty attended by Dr. Ahmed Sultan Bin Suraiman, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, along with several academic and administrative officials and representatives of the Ghayl Bin Yamin Students Association.

The meeting addressed mechanisms to reactivate the center and to provide educational, academic, and examination services closer to students’ places of residence. This initiative aims to reduce travel burdens on students, expand the Faculty’s services, and strengthen its presence in beneficiary districts and surrounding communities.

Prof. Al-Tamimi reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to facilitating access to higher education programs and enhancing its role in serving the community. For his part, Dr. Al-Qurzi expressed his appreciation for Hadhramout University’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of reopening the center to meet the educational needs of students from the district and neighboring areas.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Abdullah Ali Al-Juhi, Head of the Department of Geography; Salmeen Omar Basurah, Director of Financial Affairs; and Sami Ali Ba’ajajah, Director of Admissions and Registration for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
