Mukalla – The Hadhramout Youth Services Center yesterday inaugurated the Volleyball Championship for Colleges of Public and Private Universities along the Hadhramout Coast as part of the “Youth Programs Support Project.”

The tournament commenced in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, excitement, and strong engagement from participating teams, reflecting a distinguished level of performance and a commitment to the values of fair play and sportsmanship.

The championship is organized under the patronage of the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Hadhramout Coast, with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and in partnership with Youth Without Borders for Development Organization and Hadhramout University.

Organizers stated that the tournament forms part of ongoing efforts to support youth-oriented civic and sports activities, while providing young people with opportunities for positive participation, talent development, and healthy competition across various sporting disciplines.

The event also aims to strengthen collaboration among higher education institutions, foster a spirit of teamwork among students, and encourage youth engagement through sports as an effective tool for personal development and community participation.
