As part of efforts to promote environmental awareness and enhance environmental culture among students, members of the Environmental Sciences Association—students from the Department of Environmental Science and Technology at the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Faculty, Hadhramout University—carried out an educational awareness visit to Al‑Shate’a Secondary School for Boys in the city of Mukalla. The visit took place on the morning of Thursday, 23 October 2025.
The school administration warmly welcomed the student team, and both teachers and students actively engaged with the presentations and discussions on various environmental topics. Several practical demonstrations were also showcased, accompanied by an environmental knowledge competition in which the school’s students participated enthusiastically.
At the conclusion of the visit, members of the association expressed their gratitude to the administration of Al‑Shate’a Secondary School for Boys for their hospitality and the opportunity to conduct this activity, affirming the continuation of such meaningful community‑oriented initiatives.
This activity was carried out under the directives of the Faculty Dean , Dr. Khaled Al‑Rubaki, as part of the Faculty’s community engagement efforts. Participating students included Salem Al‑Jumhi, Khaled Al‑Soqotri, and Ahmed Bawazeer, under the supervision of Dr. Shatha Zaki Qaed, and with guidance from the Head of the Department, Dr. Nada Moul Al‑Duwaila, and coordination by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Majid bin Muslim.
