In alignment with the mission of Hadhramout University and the vision of its wise leadership under the presidency of Professor Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Faculty celebrated its Open Day in active partnership and remarkable cooperation with the Student Council of the College on Tuesday, 29 April 2025.
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Khaled Awad Al‑Rubaki, together with the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Majid Salem Bin Muslim, inaugurated the event with a scientific seminar titled “Our Environment: Our Shared Responsibility,” held in recognition of Earth Day 2025. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Shatha Qaed and coordinated by Dr. Nada Moula Al‑Duwaila, Head of the Department.
Following the seminar, the Open Day Exhibition was officially opened, where students presented a diverse range of contributions that showcased their talents, capabilities, and active engagement in collaborative and commendable academic and extracurricular activities.
In accordance with the outcomes of the Earth Day seminar, the Dean, his deputy, several faculty members, and students planted numerous seedlings with the aim of expanding green spaces and reinforcing the importance of environmental preservation to maintain a healthy and sustainable environment.
The event was attended by department heads—including Dr. Nada Moula Al‑Duwaila and Dr. Wael Al‑Sabban—alongside faculty members, teaching assistants, students, administrative staff, and distinguished guests.
