Students from the Department of Marine Biology at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology, Hadhramout University, accompanied by Mr. Mustafa Salem Baridi, conducted a scientific visit this morning to the Fisheries Authority – Hadhramout Branch and the Marine Science and Marine Biology Research Authority.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with the nature of work in these institutions, their organizational structures, and the roles they play in managing and regulating fish stocks, supervising production, and monitoring sectors related to marine resources.
During the visit, students received a detailed briefing on efforts to develop and protect fisheries resources, regulate fishing activities to ensure sustainability, and the role of scientific research in studying the marine environment, organizing fishing seasons, and monitoring the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems.
This visit comes within the framework of the faculty’s plans and programs aimed at linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, and equipping students with hands‑on experience that enhances their readiness for the labor market.
