Department of Food Science and Technology Awards Master’s Degree to Researcher Abdullah Omar bin Nasr

On Thursday, 30 October 2025, the Master’s thesis of researcher Abdullah Omar Bin Nasr was publicly defended. His thesis, entitled “Study of the Effect of Phytochemical Compounds in Cymbopogon schoenanthus on the Physical, Chemical, and Microbial Properties of Tap Water in the Fuwah Area – Al‑Mukalla,” was presented before an academic panel.

The examination committee was composed of Prof. Dr. Mohsen Omar Qunzal as Chair and External Examiner, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sami Ali Hamid as Internal Examiner, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Wael Abdulrahman Al‑Sabban as Academic Supervisor.

The committee commended the researcher’s effort and the quality of his work, and the defense concluded with the recommendation to award him the Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology.
