Al‑Ibda’a Schools in Al‑Qatn Visit the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology at Hadhramout University

As part of efforts to strengthen academic engagement and link secondary education outcomes with higher education, the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology at Hadhramout University received, on the morning of Tuesday, 10 February 2026, a student delegation from Al‑Ibda’a Secondary Schools in Al‑Qatn, headed by Mr. Rashdi Al‑Makhzoumi.

The delegation was received by Dr. Ahmed Aidhah Bin Ali Al‑Haj and Dr. Majed Salem Bin Muslim, Vice Deans of the Faculty, who welcomed the students and accompanying staff. They emphasized the faculty’s commitment to opening its doors to school students to introduce its academic specializations and scientific programs, as well as its role in serving the community and promoting environmental awareness.

The visit included an introductory presentation on the faculty’s departments and programs in environmental sciences and technologies, marine biology and aquaculture, and food science and technology, along with an overview of its academic outputs and future opportunities.

In addition, Mr. Nabil Al‑Hudhaifi, Director of the Faculty Laboratories, organized a field tour of the laboratories, during which students were introduced to the modern scientific equipment used in teaching and research. This contributed to enhancing their understanding of the practical applications related to the offered disciplines.

At the conclusion of the visit, the head of the delegation, accompanying staff, and students expressed their sincere appreciation to the Faculty Deanship and its academic and administrative staff for their warm reception and excellent organization. They emphasized the importance of such visits in guiding students toward choosing their future academic specializations and wished the faculty and the university continued success and progress.
