The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training honored Yemeni universities with the top three places in the Arab Universities Ranking for 2023 which are Taiz University, University of Science and Technology Yemen, and Hadhramout University.
The ceremony was organized by The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training and was hosted by the University of Science and Technology at the headquarter in Aden.
Prof. Abdul Ghani Hmaid, Acting President of the Science and Technology University, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education, urging for further focus on academic work and scientific research towards the community, as a solution to its problems, and meet its needs.
From his part, Minister Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi expressed his pleasure at this Arab scientific event, in which Taiz University, University of Science and Technology and Hadhramout University were honored. He was proud of this remarkable scientific achievement, which reflected the ability of Yemeni universities to achieve scientific and academic excellence. He promised to harness all resources to support the leadership of public and private universities in their developmental and qualitative directions.
At the end of the ceremony, his Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Professor Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi, and former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Hussein Ba-Salama, honored the three universities amongst a large presence of undersecretaries and presidents of public and private universities.
