Hadhramout University and Sana’i Al-Ma’roof Humanitarian Foundation have signed a cooperation agreement to implement the University Scholarship Project, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khanbash.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by Prof. Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani, Vice President for Student Affairs, and on behalf of the Foundation by its Director, Mr. Ahmed Saeed Ghanem.
The agreement aims to fund 20 undergraduate scholarships for students enrolled in various academic disciplines at Hadhramout University.
The initiative is expected to enable deserving students to continue their higher education despite economic challenges by easing the financial burden on their families and expanding access to quality university education.
The project is being implemented as part of the ongoing humanitarian and educational initiatives of Sana’i Al-Ma’roof Humanitarian Foundation, with funding from Stichting Rizq, to promote sustainable education and invest in human capital development, a cornerstone of sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ali Ahmed Al-Akbari, Director of the Coordination and Follow-up Department, along with several officials and representatives from both parties. Participants praised the agreement as the beginning of a new phase of fruitful cooperation between development organizations and higher education institutions in Hadhramout.
This initiative highlights the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and civil society organizations in expanding access to higher education, supporting talented students, and contributing to sustainable community development.
