🌍 YHELD Project Hosts International Online Dissemination Event Showcasing Results and Strengthening Euro-Yemeni Academic Cooperation
On May 5, 2026, the YHELD (Youth Higher Education Leadership Development) Project successfully hosted its online dissemination event, bringing together representatives from universities, international organizations, and government institutions.
🎤 The event opened with distinguished speakers, including:
• Jamil Al-Jaadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Planning in Yemen
• Andrea Damiani, Project Coordinator from Link Campus University
• Silvia Marchionne, Senior Project Manager at UNIMED and Work Package 4 Leader
They emphasized the importance of capacity building, international partnerships, and knowledge exchange as key drivers for strengthening the higher education system in Yemen and advancing its internationalisation.
🎓 The event also showcased key achievements and reinforced collaboration between European and Yemeni higher education institutions.

• Strengthening leadership and institutional capacity in Yemeni universities
• Promoting international cooperation and global partnerships
• Emphasizing the role of International Relations Offices (IROs)
• Launching the Euro-Yemeni Academic Cooperation Network
Participants from eight Yemeni universities shared insights from their recent institutional events, stressing the importance of sustainability and coordinated national support.
