Student Ahmed Bamousa from the Computer Engineering Department at Hadhramout University organized, under the supervision of Dr. Suheer Al-Hadhrami, an interactive seminar entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Your New Partner on the Journey to the Future” for students of Al-Khair Qur’an Education Center in Al-Mukalla. The seminar aimed to enhance students’ technological awareness and simplify artificial intelligence concepts through an interactive approach tailored to the target audience.
The seminar addressed several key topics, beginning with an introduction to artificial intelligence and the fundamentals of how it operates. It also explored some of its most prominent applications in daily life, including real-time translation, navigation systems, and social media platforms, in addition to demonstrating how AI tools can support studying, time management, and the development of academic skills.
The session further highlighted the future of employment in the age of artificial intelligence and emphasized the importance of acquiring the skills necessary to keep pace with rapid technological advancement. It also discussed ethical challenges associated with AI, including privacy concerns and the risks posed by deepfake technologies.
Students demonstrated strong engagement throughout the seminar, which concluded by emphasizing that artificial intelligence is designed to support and enhance human capabilities rather than replace them.
