The public sessions for discussing the graduation projects of the thirteenth cohort of the Department of Journalism and Media at Hadhramout University are continuing under the slogan “Truth 360 Batch,” with the participation of a distinguished academic and community audience. The strong attendance reflects the significance of the occasion and highlights the growing role of media in serving society and addressing contemporary issues.
For the first time, this year’s discussions feature “Dekka News,” an English-language newspaper project, alongside a media campaign project focusing on Yemeni-Chinese relations. Additional projects being discussed include Hadhramedia, Generations Meeting, and Mulham, in addition to several other media initiatives presented by graduating students.
The Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Babair, attended the discussions during the first and second days before a health condition wishing him a speedy recovery prevented him from attending today’s sessions.
The discussions over the past two days have been enriched by the participation of faculty members, including Dr. Ahmed Mansour, Dr. Adeeb Al-Shatiri, Dr. Doaa Bawazir, Dr. Wajdi Bawazir, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Hamdi, who contributed valuable academic insights and guidance to the students throughout the sessions.
A total of 23 graduation projects are being presented and discussed across diverse fields of digital and traditional media, including journalism, radio and television production, graphic design, and scientific research. The sessions are being held at BaKathir Hall at the University Presidency in an atmosphere marked by active interaction, creativity, and professional engagement.
