Student Arzaq Tobet defended today her graduation project titled “70 Years of Giving,” submitted as part of the requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s degree in the Department of Journalism and Media at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Hadhramout University, under the supervision of Dr. Adeeb Al-Shatiri.
The project focused on designing an advertising and media campaign marking the seventieth anniversary of diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between Yemen and China. Through a multi-platform approach, the campaign highlighted major historical milestones in Yemeni-Chinese relations, from early trade exchanges to contemporary cooperation in development, health, and education.

The project included a variety of media materials, including short videos, social media content, posters, and billboards, in addition to journalistic and analytical content addressing opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Project supervisor Dr. Adeeb Al-Shatiri praised the student’s efforts, noting that the project demonstrated a strong level of research, organization, and media presentation. He also expressed his appreciation to Prof. Dr. Qasim Al-Mahbashi for providing academic references related to Yemeni–Chinese relations, and to Eng. Faisal Al-Mahbashi for supporting the project with information and visual materials.
For her part, student Arzaq Tobet explained that her choice of topic stemmed from the historical significance of Yemeni–Chinese relations and the importance of presenting them through contemporary media tools that engage audiences and highlight shared cultural and developmental ties.
The project received positive feedback from the evaluation committee, which emphasized the importance of addressing historical and strategic topics through modern media approaches that contribute to raising awareness and enriching academic and media content.
