Hadhramout University recently held an expanded meeting of the committee responsible for organizing the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Yemeni–Chinese relations, chaired by the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Khanbash, to discuss arrangements and mechanisms for organizing the activities planned to commemorate this historic milestone between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Babair, the University Secretary-General, Mr. Abdullah Eided, and, via video conference, the Cultural Counselor of the Republic of Yemen in China, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ahmadi.
The participants reviewed the work plan of the seven subcommittees established for this occasion, which will be responsible for preparing specialized scientific studies and organizing a photo exhibition and a documentary film highlighting the long history of bilateral relations between Yemen and China.
The meeting also discussed arrangements for publishing a documentary book chronicling the history of cooperation between the two countries, in addition to preparations for a television seminar entitled “Yemeni–Chinese Relations,” which will highlight key milestones and future prospects.
The meeting witnessed active contributions from committee heads Dr. Samir Al‑Bouri, Dr. Khaled Bin Buraik, Dr. Lotfi Bin Dahman, and Dr. Adeeb Al‑Shatiri, who presented their visions and proposals to ensure the organization of a celebration that reflects the depth of the historical ties between Yemen and China and strengthens prospects for future cooperation between the two nations.
