The Universities Volleyball Championship was launched in Al-Faqid Baradm Stadium in Mukalla during the activities’ of the 12th student week and the university’s 30th anniversary. Under the patronage of Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; Hadhramout University President and in the presence of Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathany; Vice President of the Student Affairs and Mr. Hasan Saleh Masjidi; General Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Hadhramout coast.
The universities that participated in this tournament are Hadhramout, Al-Awael, Al-Rayyan, and Al-Ahqaf. The first match was between the team of Al-Rayyan University and Al- Awael University teams. Al-Rayyan team won the match against Al-Awael team. The result is as follows:
The first run (14-25), The second run (18-25), and the third run (7-25), so Al-Rayyan team qualified for the finals.
