The Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Hadhramout University has announced the opening of registration for postgraduate programs (Master’s and PhD) for the upcoming academic year 2026–2027, starting Sunday, 26 April 2026, with registration continuing until 11 June 2026. The coordination fee has been set at nine thousand Yemeni riyals (YER 9,000).
Mr. Yasser Ahmed Ba‘abad, Director General of Admission and Registration for Graduate Studies at the university, stated that applicants may submit their applications electronically via the admission and registration portal at hregister.sis-hu.info or in person at the Graduate Studies Hall at the University Presidency. He also noted that inquiries may be made via WhatsApp at 773006248 or 05/371908.
Mr. Ba‘abad added that applicants may visit the university’s official website at www.hu.edu.ye for further details regarding registration procedures. In the case of online application, applicants are required—before the entrance examinations—to submit a physical file containing the required documents to the Coordination Committee at the Admission and Registration Office of the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies, located at the University Presidency in Al‑Insha’at – Fuwwah.
He explained that applicants for the Master’s degree must submit two certified copies of the General Secondary Certificate, the Bachelor’s degree certificate, and the Bachelor’s transcript. Applicants for the PhD program are required to submit two certified copies of the Master’s degree certificate and transcript, in addition to the Bachelor’s degree documents. All applicants must also provide two copies of a valid personal identification card, four passport‑size photographs, a curriculum vitae, two document folders, and proof of payment of the registration fee.
Mr. Ba‘abad revealed that the university will offer a wide range of programs and modern specializations across several fields, including educational and psychological studies, journalism and media, political science, petroleum sciences, social work, special education, as well as humanities programs in Arabic language, Islamic studies, English language, in addition to scientific disciplines, accounting, and business administration. These offerings will comprise a total of 41 Master’s and PhD programs.
He urged prospective applicants to prepare thoroughly for the competitive entrance examinations in Arabic language, computer skills, and personal interviews, which are scheduled to be held from 5 to 8 August 2026, stressing the importance of adhering strictly to the announced conditions and submitting all required documentation.
