The Faculty of Women at Hadhramout University, in cooperation with the Charitable Fund for Outstanding Students, organized a distinguished celebration of World English Language Day, featuring a creative event that showcased students’ skills and their strong passion for learning.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Najat Ahmed Bosab’a, Dean of the Faculty, alongside Dr. Fatima Bahadila, Vice Dean, and Ms. Abeer Bin Nemr, representative of the Charitable Fund, in the presence of a number of department heads and academic staff. The celebration began with a welcoming speech delivered in English by one of the students, followed by a tour of the accompanying exhibition.

The exhibition showcased artistic and creative displays prepared by students from the English Language Department in collaboration with the Art Education Department, highlighting the role of language as a bridge for intercultural communication. Cultural and linguistic content was presented in a modern and engaging manner. In addition, gifts and brochures were distributed by the Charitable Fund and the students to encourage participants to further develop their English language skills.
In a press statement, the Dean praised the students’ high level of creativity, emphasizing that celebrating this occasion is not merely symbolic, but rather reflects the importance of mastering the language of science and research in the modern era, as well as promoting the cultural diversity that the Faculty seeks to instill in its students.
For her part, Ms. Abeer Bin Nemr expressed her pride in the partnership with the Faculty, noting that supporting such initiatives lies at the core of the Fund’s strategy to empower outstanding students and broaden their global horizons.
The event also featured rich discussions between faculty members and students on ways to enhance extracurricular activities and modernize language learning approaches, in an atmosphere marked by enthusiasm and positive engagement. The celebration concluded with commemorative photographs that documented the event, reflecting the Faculty’s vibrant academic environment.
