Hadhramout University Concludes Participation in International Conference on Enhancing Academic Partnerships

The final conference of the European-funded YHELD Project concluded today, Thursday, in Cairo, with the participation of Hadhramout University President, Prof. Mohamed Khanbash, accompanied by Dr. Lotfi Saeed Bin Dahman, Director of the Center for International Relations, alongside representatives from several Yemeni and European partner universities.

The university’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening its international academic presence and expanding opportunities for scientific and research cooperation with regional and international academic institutions.

The conference featured extensive discussions on the outcomes of the YHELD Project and mechanisms for developing international relations offices within Yemeni universities. Participants also reviewed leading European experiences in academic governance and internationalization aimed at enhancing the performance of higher education institutions and strengthening opportunities for academic and research partnerships.

Participants emphasized the importance of sustaining international cooperation programs and academic exchange initiatives, highlighting their pivotal role in supporting development, innovation, and institutional advancement within Yemeni universities.

At the conclusion of the conference, certificates of appreciation were awarded to participants in recognition of their efforts and valuable contributions to the success of the project and the advancement of scientific and academic cooperation among the participating universities.
