On the morning of Wednesday, 29 October 2025, the public defense of the Master’s thesis submitted by student Ibrahim Saeed Mohammed Al‑Amoudi, from the Department of Food Science and Technology, was held. The thesis was entitled “Study of the Effect of Halal and Non‑Halal Slaughtering and Storage on the Quality and Safety of Chicken Meat.”
The defense took place in the Postgraduate Studies Hall at the Faculty, where the researcher presented the main themes of his study and the valuable scientific findings he had achieved, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of food quality and safety.
The examination committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Mohsen Omar Qunzal as Chair and External Examiner from the University of Aden, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Awsan Marouf Bahramz as Internal Examiner from Hadhramout University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Wael Abdulrahman Al‑Sabban as Academic Supervisor from Hadhramout University. The committee praised the student’s scientific efforts and rigorous research methodology, and recommended awarding him the Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology upon fulfillment of all academic and research requirements.
The defense was attended by the Faculty Deanship, as well as a number of professors, researchers, and postgraduate students.
