Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Organizes a Lecture on “The Role of Students in Implementing Higher Education Quality Systems”

As part of the Quality Activities 2025 at Hadhramout University, the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology organized, on the morning of Tuesday, 4 November 2025, an awareness lecture entitled “The Role of Students in Implementing Higher Education Quality Systems,” delivered by Prof. Dr. Salem Rabee Bazaar at the faculty’s Postgraduate Studies Hall.

The lecture aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of quality in higher education and their active role in achieving academic accreditation standards and ensuring continuous improvement in educational and administrative performance within the faculty.

During the session, Prof. Dr. Bazaar addressed the concepts of comprehensive quality in higher education and highlighted key practices through which students can contribute to promoting a culture of quality, including participation in self‑assessment processes and adherence to positive academic conduct.

The event witnessed strong attendance from male and female students of the faculty, who demonstrated high engagement and expressed their interest in improving their academic environment in ways that enhance learning outcomes and align with labor market requirements.

This activity forms part of a series of initiatives implemented by the Faculty Deanship, led by Prof. Dr. Khaled Al‑Rubaki, in support of Hadhramout University’s efforts to promote a culture of quality and academic excellence among students, faculty members, and their assistants.
