Hadhramout University Participates in ARCIF Seminar
In order to improve its world university ranking, Hadhramout University (HU) participated in a seminar on improving the ranking of Arab universities in the academic ranking of world universities and the role of Arab citation impact factor (ARCIF) of Arab academic and research journals organized by e-MAREFA Database at Knowledge World Center in Amman, Jordan. ARCIF is the first measure of its kind for the Arab academic production according to international standards.
Dr. Najeeb Al-Sherbaji, ARCIF Consultant, presented the efforts made to publish the impact factor. He also said that we had collected and studied more than 4,000 scientific and research journals in various specializations issued by more than 1400 scientific and research authorities in 20 different Arab countries.
"This is a tremendous step to show the scientific production of the Arab universities in a huge database that matches other international ones. We have submitted a request to e-MAREFA to include our two journals for applied and human sciences in order to show the research outputs of our academic teaching staff and raise HU ranking. That comes within our plan to encourage HU researchers to share their scientific and research outputs on the Arab and international levels.” Dr. Salem Faraj Bamsaoud, HU Director General of Scientific Research, said.
