Students from the Researchers Forum of the Renewable Energy Studies and Research Center at Hadhramout University conducted a specialized scientific visit to the center’s headquarters to gain practical insight into its facilities, equipment, and research activities in the field of renewable and alternative energy.

The visiting delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Baradi, Director of the Center and an international expert in renewable energy, alongside Mr. Majed Awadh Bahuwairith, Consulting Researcher in Nuclear Physics, and Eng. Yousif Saeed Amroon, Technical Officer at the Center.

The visit began with an introductory presentation delivered by Prof. Dr. Baradi, who reviewed the center’s vision, strategic objectives, and ongoing efforts to support scientific research, innovation, and sustainable energy solutions that contribute to local development and environmental sustainability.

Participants subsequently toured the center’s laboratories and technical facilities, where they received practical demonstrations on the operation of advanced equipment used to evaluate the performance and efficiency of solar energy systems. They also observed data monitoring and analysis processes employed in producing accurate scientific and research indicators.

As part of the visit, students conducted practical testing of selected equipment under the supervision of the center’s specialists, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the technologies used in renewable energy research. The tour also included an overview of the center’s current projects and future development plans.

The participating students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with the center’s facilities and experts, noting that the experience enhanced their practical knowledge and provided valuable motivation for developing their research projects and keeping pace with global advancements in renewable energy technologies.

This visit forms part of Hadhramout University’s commitment to linking theoretical learning with practical application and strengthening students’ research capabilities through direct engagement with specialized scientific and research centers.
